“As mentioned in Fellowship Pacific’s October 16, 2025 letter, Fellowship Prairies defeated the following motion at our Regional Convention in May of 2025, “Be it therefore resolved, in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:12, Fellowship Prairies will only recognize churches in which their elders (or pastors or leaders) who preach to or otherwise have authority over men, are Biblically qualified men.” This motion attempted to define the practice of complementarianism in our region to a more rigid position which would have become a litmus test for membership within our region. It is with surprise and sadness that we have learned some members of our region are continuing on to push a similar agenda on the national stage, ignoring our autonomous region’s decision.
If any initiative to make changes to the current position statement were to be pursued, we are in agreement with Fellowship National that a multi-year process is necessary for such issues to ensure a healthy process that pursues unity, clarity, and due diligence. Moreover, we remain in support of the autonomy of Fellowship’s regions to define and practice complementarianism.”
